About
Liquid Gas UK is the trade association for the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and bioLPG industry in the UK, representing companies that are LPG producers, distributors, equipment manufacturers, service providers and installers.
Liquid Gas UK member companies cover 99% of the total LPG and 100% of the total bioLPG distributed in the UK. It is dedicated to the safe and effective development of LPG and bioLPG.
BioLPG
BioLPG is the sustainable alternative to conventional LPG. Produced from a variety of renewable sources like waste materials and vegetable oils, bioLPG provides customers with significant carbon savings without the need to install new heating systems.
BioLPG is currently produced as a co-product of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and biodiesel production.
The co-production of bioLPG and SAF has the potential to meet a significant portion—as much as 55%—of demand from the renewable liquid gases market, helping to ensure that hard-to-decarbonise homes and businesses are given a viable pathway to decarbonisation.
